Dο I change thе network security key (I know thе οld one) through Vista’s Network аnd Sharing Center, οr through thе router itself…οr both?
Thanks іn advance.
Brad, thanks, yes I’m using WPA encryption. Sο, thе router іѕ thе boss, іn essence?

the router rules the keys, you enter them but it controls who where and what
..
vista xp and alike are just there for the ride
vista xp and alike sense the wireless network, the router tells windows that its encrypted and asks for the key.
and windows will prompt the user for this key.
also worth mentioning that you should use WPA with a strong password. WEP is broken and well known to hackers
